ON SET CINEMA

ON SET CINEMA is an ongoing film series that takes fandom a step further with rare movie screenings of cult favorites and horror classics at their actual filming locations. Created by Kenny Caperton, who lives in a life-size replica of Michael Myers’ house from John Carpenter’s original Halloween.

We all know there's only so close you can get to a movie when you're watching it at home from the couch …but what if you could step into the screen for a moment? Watch movies like BeetlejuiceIt Follows, The Blob and The Shining at the actual spots where a lot of the action takes place - whether that’s inside a small town department store where Sarah Michelle Gellar ran for her life in I Know What You Did Last Summer or at a California mansion where Sidney Prescott and Billy Loomis face off during the climax of Scream, ON SET CINEMA takes you there!

I'm excited to announce a 3RD SCREENING of Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice on Friday, October 2, 2020 in Snow Camp, NC at the church from the movie, which is located on the historic Sword Of Peace property! This is the church where Micah kills Simpson with the voodoo stick and he sprays blood all over everyone! We'll be showing the movie outside right in front of the church. Fans will get to tour the inside the church before the screening. It looks almost identical as it did in the movie almost 30 years ago!

ON SET CINEMA heads to the small town of Gatlin (aka Ramseur, North Carolina) this Fall on Saturday, October 3, 2020 to join He Who Walks Behind The Rows for a very special screening of Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice. We will be showing the movie outside in the heart of Gatlin, where the opening scene takes place! ...exactly where the news, police and paramedics gather after uncovering half of the town's parents dead bodies! This is also where we first meet the leader of the children, Micah (Ryan Bollman). And you can't forget the scene where the children take over Mrs. West's wheelchair with a remote control and send her out into the street to get hit by a mack truck! It's sure to be a fun night! Pat's Food Truck will also be there with a corn themed menu, including corn on the cob. THE NEW HARVEST WILL BE OURS! ...SAY YOU ARE ONE WITH US AND SERVE HE WHO WALKS BEHIND THE ROWS!

Join ON SET CINEMA on Friday, October 16th OR Saturday, October 17th for our first ever double feature screening event! We'll be showing The Conjuring at the infamous demon-infested Conjuring house! Fans will get to sit on the grass area featured in the movie poster and watch the film exactly where the hanging tree once stood. This incredible house also served as Missy Egan's house in I Know What You Did Last Summer. We'll be watching the movie in the backyard where Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Helen Shivers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) get busted by Missy (Anne Heche) for snooping around the house. Fans will also get a guided tour of the interior of the house! There will be a food truck, special event merch and if you're brave enough, a limited amount of fans will have the opportunity to camp out overnight on the property! This is going to be an incredible experience and what better time than right before Halloween. We encourage everyone to come dressed up in costume, but it's not required to attend. There will be a costume contest in-between movies and the top three costumes will win a horror swag bag! COSTUME CONTEST ONLY HAPPENING ON SATURDAY NIGHT.

CAMPING DETAILS: 18+ ONLY FOR CAMPING. Everyone camping needs to purchase a camping ticket. Primitive tent camping only. Must provide your own tent and camping equipment. There will be a port-a-potty on the property for any guests that need to use the restroom. If the weather is really nice, we might show an additional horror movie for campers only! Check out is Noon on Sunday morning.

Face Your Fate on Saturday, October 24th at a very special ON SET CINEMA screening of HALLOWEEN 2018 in Hanahan, South Carolina at the gas station where Michael Myers kills 4 people! We will be setting up the movie screen inside the service station exactly where the mechanic's body was found and Michael gets his coveralls. The bay doors will be open and fans will be able to watch the film outside where Michael retrieves his infamous mask from the trunk of Dana (Rhian Rees) and Aaron's (Jefferson Hall) car. Fans will also be able to get pre-movie snacks inside the convenient store where the gas station attendant was found dead with his bottom jaw almost ripped off. And if you have to use the restroom during the screening ...well, we'll give you the key, but good luck with that. Officer Hawkins (Will Patton) and Sheriff Barker (Omar J. Dorsey) were also at this location in the wake of the aftermath trying to figure out what was going on. It's sure to be a fun night - exactly one week before Halloween! There will be bowls of trick-or-treat candy for everyone to share. Just watch out for The Boogeyman.

Welcome, Welcome! Welcome everyone to the 74th Annual Hunger Games! Join ON SET CINEMA on Saturday, November 7th at the historic Henry River Mill Village (aka District 12) in Hickory, North Carolina, for a very special screening of The Hunger Games! Fans will get a guided tour through what was District 12 in the movie - you’ll be able to see where Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Gale (Liam Hemsworth) hung out, go inside Katniss’ house where so many great scenes took place, see Peeta Mellark's (Josh Hutcherson) bakery and more! There will also be food trucks, special event merch and for the first time ever fans will be allowed to camp out overnight on the property! ...but don't get too excited, because every courageous young man and woman who attend this event will be entered into The Reaping. We will end the night with a glorious outdoor screening of The Hunger Games! This will be the first ever screening of the movie at Henry River Mill Village. Remember tributes, there can only be one winner - may the odds be ever in your favor...

Who will survive On Set Cinema: The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and what will be left of them? Join us at one of the most iconic horror movie locations of all time …The Texas Chain Saw Massacre house! Some of the most memorable and horrifying scenes in horror film history took place inside this house - on Sunday, December 6 and Monday, December 7, 2020, a limited number of fans (ONLY 13 TOTAL EACH NIGHT) will get to not only hang out and watch Texas Chain Saw inside the house, but will also get to stay all night inside this iconic location! This is the first time fans have ever been presented with this opportunity!!

OSC will be clearing out Grand Central Café for the coolest horror slumber party ever! I will be setting up a TV inside the room where the infamous dining room scene took place and we’ll have a Texas Chain Saw-a-thon all night long! …we can watch the original on repeat, or the entire series from start to finish …OR just skip everything and watch The Next Generation over and over again. Fans will be able to hang out and sleep wherever they want inside the house …in the hallway where we first see Leatherface emerge from the doorway and smash Kirk in the head with the sledgehammer, or in the room that was filled with bones and chicken feathers discovered by Pam just before she gets snatched up and hung on the hook, or even upstairs where Sally finds Grandpa in the rocking chair. There will also be games (horror games, board games, video games, etc) and of course a BBQ dinner with headcheese on the side! So fill up your chainsaws and get ready to join the family!

ON SET CINEMA: ABOUT

ON SET CINEMA is the brainchild of Kenny Caperton. Growing up in the 80s & 90s, like most kids at the time, he spent Friday nights wandering the aisles of local video stores with friends or at home eating junk food while watching late night cable television. Caperton has always been fascinated by movies, but his love runs much deeper than the average person. He has assimilated his passion for cinema into real life - for almost 20 years Caperton has been taking "vacation" trips all over the US & Canada to visit filming locations from his favorite movies and TV shows: The Shining, Empire Records, It Follows, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, The Goonies, Scream, Dawson's Creek, Scott Pilgrim VS The World, Stranger Things ...the list goes on and on. He even made a full length feature film that got worldwide distribution without taking a single filmmaking class. Caperton took everything to an entirely new level in 2008 when he decided to build and live in a life-size replica of the infamous Michael Myers' house from his favorite movie of all time - John Carpenter's 1978 horror classic, Halloween.

Kenny truly understands what it means to immerse oneself in something they love and has integrated this into his daily life. Now he wants to share that experience with other fans through On Set Cinema!
