ON SET CINEMA
ON SET CINEMA is an ongoing film series that takes fandom a step further with rare movie screenings of cult favorites and horror classics at their actual filming locations. Created by Kenny Caperton, who lives in a life-size replica of Michael Myers’ house from John Carpenter’s original Halloween.

We all know there's only so close you can get to a movie when you're watching it at home from the couch …but what if you could step into the screen for a moment? Watch movies like BeetlejuiceIt Follows, The Blob and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre at the actual spots where a lot of the action takes place - whether that’s inside a small town department store where Sarah Michelle Gellar ran for her life in I Know What You Did Last Summer or at the Summer Camp where Jason Voorhees knocks off a bunch of camp counselors in Jason Lives, ON SET CINEMA takes you there!

SUNDAY, APRIL 24, 2022: THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (1975)

Windsor, England UK • Oakley Court Castle (aka Dr. Frank-N-Furter's castle)

osc_rockyhorror_web.jpg

There's a light, over at the Frankenstein place! Now babies, don't you panic... Come up to the lab and see what's on the slab. Join ON SET CINEMA on Sunday, April 24, 2022 for a very special screening of the most beloved cult classic movie of all time... THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW! We'll be showing the film at the legendary Oakley Court castle ...aka Dr. Frank-N-Furter's castle in beautiful Windsor, England. Oakley Court is located just one hour west of London and is now a luxury hotel overlooking the River Thames at Water Oakley in the county of Berkshire. Tons of movies have been filmed here over the years, including “Murder by Death” (1976), “Vampyres” (1974), “Monster of Terror” (1965), “Theater of Blood” (1973), “The Brides of Dracula” (1960), “The Curse of Frankenstein” (1957) and many more! Oakley Court is most famously known as the filming location for Dr. Frank-N-Furter's castle in Rocky - both the exterior and several interior scenes from the movie where filmed here, including the main entrance with the gargoyles (still there!) where Riff Raff (Richard O'Brien) greets Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon) and the lobby with the staircase where we first meet Magenta (Patricia Quinn). The infamous elbow sex took place here, the dining room scene, as well as the grand introduction of Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry)!

This is a rare public screening of the movie at Oakley Court and seating is limited. We'll be screening the movie inside the hotel in the Windsor Suite. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2022: HALLOWEEN: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS

Salt Lake City, Utah • The Myers House / Strode House

WITH SPECIAL GUEST DEVIN GARDNER (DANNY STRODE)

osc_h6_web.jpg
osc_h6_danny_web.jpg

Do you know why we celebrate Halloween? A long, long time ago, it was a night of great power. When the days grew short, and the spirits of the dead returned to their homes to warm themselves by the fireside. All across the land huge bonfires were lit. Ohhh, there was a marvelous celebration. People danced, and they played games, and they dressed up in costumes, hoping to ward off the evil spirits. Especially the boogeyman...

Join The Cult of Thorn on Sunday, September 25th in Haddonfield (aka Salt Lake City) at ON SET CINEMA's 2nd Annual Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers screening event at The Myers House! Devin Gardner, who played young Danny Strode in the film, will be a special guest at this event! He'll be signing autographs, taking photos with fans in front of The Myers House and doing a Q&A before the movie screening. So many great scenes from H6 were filmed at this location! Fans will get a complete guided tour of the property grounds, as well as a look inside the house - you'll be able to hang out in the backyard exactly where Debra Strode (Kim Darby) gets killed by Michael in the clotheslines with an axe, go down into the basement where John Strode (Bradford English) discovers bloody clothes in the washing machine, then gets stabbed by Michael and pushed onto an electrical box and see where so many more great scenes were shot! There will be Halloween music, free trick-or-treat candy and fans are encouraged to dress up in costume. We'll end the evening with an outdoor screening of HALLOWEEN 6! The property is small so tickets to this event are very limited. This is sure to be an incredible experience for any H6 fan! Just watch out for The Boogeyman. Ok, enough of this Michael Myers bullshit!

• Location: Salt Lake City, Utah (exact address will be listed on ticket holders confirmation email)
• Date / Time: Sunday, September 25, 2022 / 6:30pm (movie starts at 8:00pm)

• Admission: $115.00 (includes guided tour of the property (inside and outside of the house), trick-or-treat candy, Devin Gardner Q&A and movie screening)

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2022: THE DARK KNIGHT

Chicago, Illinois • Bruce Wayne's Penthouse / Harvey Dent Fundraiser Party location

osc_darkknight_promo_web.jpg

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! ...why so serious? Put on your finest outfit and join ON SET CINEMA this December inside Bruce Wayne's penthouse in downtown Gotham (aka downtown Chicago) for a very special screening of The Dark Knight. I'll be showing the film exactly where Joker (Heath Ledger) and his goons crash Harvey Dent's (Aaron Eckhart) fundraiser party and face-off with Batman (Christian Bale) in a fight, then Joker pushes Rachel (Maggie Gyllenhaal) out of a window! This is one of the most captivating scenes in the entire Dark Knight Trilogy. The building where this scene was shot is located in downtown Chicago on Wacker Dr and has since been turned into the Chicago Architecture Center. The scene was actually filmed on the first floor of the building - the production used green-screens to digitally fill in the Gotham skyline in post-production. There will be free drinks, free popcorn and a filming location tour of the scene! Fans are encouraged to dress up in costume or in formal wear just like in the movie, but of course it's not required to attend. This is going to be an unforgettable experience for fans and a wonderful way to celebrate Heath Ledger's incredible work creating the iconic Dark Knight Joker character ...you'll leave with a permanent smile on your face :)

• Location: Chicago Architecture Center - 111 E Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60601
• Date / Time: Saturday, December 10, 2022 (event check-in starts at 7:00pm, movie starts at 8:00pm)

ON SET CINEMA: ABOUT

ON SET CINEMA is the brainchild of Kenny Caperton. Growing up in the 80s & 90s, like most kids at the time, he spent Friday nights wandering the aisles of local video stores with friends or at home eating junk food while watching late night cable television. Caperton has always been fascinated by movies, but his love runs much deeper than the average person. He has assimilated his passion for cinema into real life - for almost 20 years Caperton has been taking "vacation" trips all over the US & Canada to visit filming locations from his favorite movies and TV shows: The Shining, Empire Records, It Follows, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, The Goonies, Scream, Dawson's Creek, Scott Pilgrim VS The World, Stranger Things ...the list goes on and on. He even made a full length feature film that got worldwide distribution without taking a single filmmaking class. Caperton took everything to an entirely new level in 2008 when he decided to build and live in a life-size replica of the infamous Michael Myers' house from his favorite movie of all time - John Carpenter's 1978 horror classic, Halloween.

Kenny truly understands what it means to immerse oneself in something they love and has integrated this into his daily life. Now he wants to share that experience with other fans through On Set Cinema!
