ON SET CINEMA is an ongoing film series that takes fandom a step further with rare movie screenings of cult favorites and horror classics at their actual filming locations. Created by Kenny Caperton, who lives in a life-size replica of Michael Myers’ house from John Carpenter’s original Halloween.
We all know there's only so close you can get to a movie when you're watching it at home from the couch …but what if you could step into the screen for a moment? Watch movies like Beetlejuice, Carrie, It Follows, The Blob and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre at the actual spots where a lot of the action takes place - whether that’s inside a small town department store where Sarah Michelle Gellar ran for her life in I Know What You Did Last Summer or at the Summer Camp where Jason Voorhees knocks off a bunch of camp counselors in Jason Lives, ON SET CINEMA takes you there!

I'll be showing the film inside the American Legion building on main street in downtown “Castle Rock” where Gordie (Wil Wheaton), Chris (River Phoenix), Teddy (Corey Feldman) and Vern (Jerry O'Connell) start and end their quest to find Ray Brower's body.
I'll be doing a filming locations walking tour to show fans exactly where everything was filmed in town! The soundtrack will be playing along with other hits from the 1950's, there will be lots of blueberry pie to devour and Chopper might be there to SIC BALLS! I'll be showing the film at the National Historic Timberline Lodge …aka The Overlook in beautiful Mount Hood, Oregon. The Timberline Lodge sits high on the shoulder of one of the most iconic mountain peaks in the Pacific Northwest and served as the actual filming location for the establishing exterior shots of the infamous Overlook Hotel in Stanley Kubrick’s cinematic adaptation of Stephen King’s terrifying novel, The Shining!
This is a rare public screening of the movie at Timberline and seating is limited. Fans will have access to the hotel grounds for the entire day, as well as the interior of the lodge (Cascade dining room, Ram’s Head Bar & Restaurant, Wy’East Café, history exhibit, gift shops, game room & more). There will be a special themed bar for attendees, fun photo ops, raffles/giveaways and more! I highly recommend staying overnight at the lodge to get the full experience - On Set Cinema ticket holders will receive a special discount code in their confirmation email for Sunday night lodging.
Timberline is the tallest mountain in Oregon and is the only ski area in the US that's open ten months of the year! The views are absolutely incredible!! So grab your big wheels and prepare for total isolation …Mr. Torrance is waiting for you.

Who's ready to return to CAMP BLOOD?! Join ON SET CINEMA this October for our epic JASON LIVES event! Kill or be killed at Camp Daniel Morgan (aka Camp Crystal Lake …aka Camp Forest Green) at Hard Labor Creek State Park in Rutledge, Georgia where the majority of JASON LIVES was actually filmed. Fans will get a full throwback camp experience - 2 nights of shared cabin camping with bunk beds, games (egg toss, three legged race, corn hole, board games and video games), campfires with marshmallows and s’mores and watching lots of camp horror movies!

Cabins are old-school and RUSTIC with twin size beds and bunk-beds - there is NO A/C or heaters inside cabins, but there is electricity (limited outlets). Cabins will be assigned to you at check in at the camp. If you want to guarantee that you’ll be rooming with a certain person or group of people at the event, I suggest buying all tickets together as one purchase. If purchased separately you may request to room with a certain person or group, but it’s not guaranteed. Most cabins sleep up to 8 people and some are bunk beds. Please bring your own bed sheets, sleeping bags and pillows - they will not be provided. If you're not interested in staying all night inside one of the cabins with other people, you're welcome to camp-out in a tent so you can have your own space (tents will not be provided). ON SET CINEMA is road-tripping to Texas this Fall to see Skynyrd, but we'll be making a stop at The Cele Store (aka The Gas Station) in Manor on Saturday, November 18th for a very special 20th Anniversary screening of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)!
I'll be showing the movie inside the actual gas station where several great scenes take place in the film - this is where Erin (Jessica Biel), Kemper (Eric Balfour), Pepper (Erica Leerhsen), Andy (Mike Vogel) and Morgan (Jonathan Tucker) stop to make a phone call to the Sheriff after the girl kills herself in their van. This is also where the ending of the movie takes place! Erin escapes Leatherface and flags down a truck but ends up back at the gas station where she gets her revenge on Sheriff Hoyt and saves the stolen baby.
Brett Wagner, who was first hired to play the iconic role of Leatherface in the 2003 remake, will be a special guest at this event! Sadly, Brett got hurt towards the beginning of the production and was replaced, but he was still able to get in one gnarly kill! It's Brett who takes out Kemper in the movie with the ol' sledge and drags him through the door and does the famous door slam! Brett has been a professional actor for over 25 years and has been in nearly 100 productions - including, "The Crazies," "John Dies at the End," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Sons of Anarchy," "Chromeskull 2," and many more! He will be doing an autograph signing, Q&A and an in-costume photo op dressed as Leatherface!
The historic Cele Store (built in 1891) is one of the most authentic Texas BBQ joints in the state! Every ticket comes with a Brisket & Sausage plate dinner, smoked on their seasoned pit built in 1964. This is going to be an awesome experience for “CHAINSAW” fans! Join ON SET CINEMA in Oak Park, Illinois on Friday, December 8, 2023 for a very special holiday screening of one of the most beloved movies of all time, HOME ALONE. I'll be showing the film inside historic Grace Episcopal Church (built in 1901) ...the actual church where Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) runs into Old Man Marley (Roberts Blossom) just before the final house showdown. This is the location where one of the most heartfelt scenes in the film takes place - Kevin is confronted by Marley and discovers that he's not such a scary guy and they both offer each other helpful advice during the holiday season.
I would like to thank pastor Rev. Dr. John G. Rumple and everyone at Grace Episcopal for opening up their beautiful church for this event. The church will be decorated for Christmas, the “Home Alone” soundtracks will be playing and just like in the movie there will be a holiday songs performance by the church choir. This is going to be an incredible experience for “Home Alone” fans! ...Merry Christmas ya filthy animals!

ON SET CINEMA: ABOUT
ON SET CINEMA is the brainchild of Kenny Caperton. Growing up in the 80s & 90s, like most kids at the time, he spent Friday nights wandering the aisles of local video stores with friends or at home eating junk food while watching late night cable television. Caperton has always been fascinated by movies, but his love runs much deeper than the average person. He has assimilated his passion for cinema into real life - for nearly 25 years Caperton has been taking "vacation" trips all over the US, Canada and the United Kingdom to visit filming locations from his favorite movies and TV shows: The Shining, Empire Records, It Follows, The Crush, My Bloody Valentine, The Goonies, Scream, My So-Called Life, Rocky Horror, Stranger Things ...the list goes on and on. He even made a full length feature film that got worldwide distribution without taking a single filmmaking class. Caperton took everything to an entirely new level in 2008 when he decided to build and live in a life-size replica of the infamous Michael Myers' house from his favorite movie of all time - John Carpenter's 1978 horror classic, Halloween.
Kenny truly understands what it means to immerse oneself in something they love and has integrated this into his daily life. Now he wants to share that experience with other fans through On Set Cinema!
